Lincoln
famous
for a week

Lincoln
played host to Hollywood in the last week of
August when Gwyneth Paltrow came to town with the
whole entourage that goes with film production.
The
University of Lincolnshire had been chosen as a
location for the film of the book "Possession"
by A. S. Byatt.
The
University site is opposite Mill House where
Hodgson Elkington are letting 30,000 sq ft of
offices which overlook Brayford Marina and the
University campus. Hyder are rumoured to be
taking space in the building to re-house elements
of Lincolnshire County Council.
Unfortunately, the staff had not moved in time to
have seen what was happening on the film set.
Chris
Hodgson, Partner of Hodgson Elkington, said
"the property industry in Lincoln hopes that
Gwyneth Paltrow will do for Lincoln what Julia
Roberts did for Notting Hill; we will find out
when the film is released in 18 months time".
