Daniel Race has been appointed as a partner of Hodgson Elkington, the Lincoln and Newark chartered surveyors and property consultants.

He first joined the Newark office of Hodgson Elkington in 1991 after leaving college. Prior to that he completed one year as an assistant surveyor with Simons Estates Limited at Lincoln. He later moved to the Lincoln office to look after industrial and office agency, then moving on to run the firm's commercial agency department combined with the management of a number of small shopping centres and industrial estates in Lincoln.

He is an Associate of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. His family have strong associations with Lincoln life.
His father is a retired former partner at Andrew & Co, the Lincoln solicitors and his uncle is Steve Race, the retired television and radio broadcaster.

Daniel is a keen motorcyclist, has a three year old daughter and earlier this year abseiled down Lincoln Castle to raise money for charity.
