A new
£1 million Litten Tree pub catering for
businesspeople and families during daytime and
younger people by night has
opened at the new £3.2 million Embassy Centre
in Skegness.

The
pub described as "modern in a traditional
style" by Martyn Parry, S.F.I's director of
marketing, has created up to 40 new full
and part time jobs.
The
new concept "chameleon" pub provides
relaxed, informal dining by day targeted at
businesspeople and families and a mixture
of food, drink entertainment and dancing by
night targeted at a younger clientele.
"The Embassy Centre scheme is now extremely
well anchored by S.F.I who are an excellent
operator and we are now
extremely confident that other appropriate
occupiers will soon come forward. We have had a
number of serious enquiries for the
two remaining units each providing between
3,00 and 5,000 sq ft of space with additional
basements. These benefit from direct access from
the Grand Parade frontage allied to linkage in
to the Embassy foyer," said Hodgson
Elkington partner, Stephen Bradford.
The
Embassy Centre, on Skegness sea front developed
with £1.2 million from the European Regional
Development Objective 5b Fund and £2 million
from East Lindsey District Council, has changed
the face of the resort's foreshore. The main
auditorium seats up to 1,000 people in
conference style and up to 1,158 for concerts.
"The
Centre, which has a 200 space car park, is
established as a regional attraction and in
excess of three million people visit during the
holiday season in addition to 54,000 local
people who
live within 20 minutes drive," added Mr
Bradford.
The
development saw the demolition, re-design and
re-building of the old 1930s style Embassy
frontage, whilst the theatre, which stands
behind it, was preserved.
