Brayford Marina gets
a touch of the mediterranean

Bar Med have announced that they will be
taking space alongside Odeon on Lincoln's
£10.5 million waterside development
at Brayford
Pool.
The SFI group, which runs the theme bar,
is the first operator to commit to a handful
of units which form part of the nine screen
cinema development.
The managers hope to be open in October.
SFI Director of Property, Eddy Lumsden, is
enthusiastic about the group's investment
in Lincoln.
"We are pleased to have secured a presence
in this attractive location and look forward
to a successful future in Lincoln".
Simons Estates Director, Luke Pickering,
said "We are delighted at the way in
which the cinema development is going."
"Lincoln's leisure market is currently
experiencing rapid growth and Brayford Wharf
is ideally located to maximise this trend."
"The scheme is located in the heart
of the business and academic quarter with
15,000 students in the area, 5,000 of whom
are located at the University directly opposite."
Stephen
Bradford of letting agents Hodgson Elkington
said "The Brayford Wharf waterfront scheme
is extremely well anchored by the cinema and
Bar Med and is critical to the future of the
marina."
"SFI is a quality national operator.
I am sure the development, which underlines
confidence in Lincoln, will bring benefits
to local people".
"We hope to announce further developments
in the near future."
