Hodgson Elkington are backing a leading Lincolnshire
Shire Horse owner and show competitor, Matthew
Burks of Red House Farm, Osgodby, Market Rasen.
Matthew and his 14 times champion horse,
'Stonemoor' Silver Lady, one of only a handful
of greys in the UK, recently entered the prestigious
Horse of The Year Show at Wembley.
Now he is looking forward to the 2002 season
when he hopes to catch the judge's eye at
the forthcoming round of shows. He and Silver
Lady, which clinched the reserve prize at
the Lincolnshire County Show last year, participate
in about 45 shows and parades each year.
"These gentle giants really draw the
crowds wherever they go," said Matthew,
who adds that he and Silver Lady are available
to participate in events around the county
on request.
